As the lead UI designer for this app, I was able to work very closely with our development team. We scrutinized every drop shadow, button style, and all the glyphs & slider images that went into this.

These images are detailed mockups of my original design. The live version has a slightly different logo (they wanted something more feminine, and less coffee-shop-like!)

Now it's finally available for free on iTunes just in time for the 2011 holiday shopping season!

Business cards for my micro-Agency on the side. 16pt stock, spot varnish, rounded corners, and a little illustration fun.

For those not familiar with my level of enthusiasm for all things Star Wars-related, I am actually one of the many stormtroopers in the 501st Legion.

I joined the local chapter of the legion in 2007, built my own set of armor, and helped redesign their website.

This is the concept I came up with, which was brought to completion as a phase 1 version of what is now live today.

I certainly never thought it would be possible to design a sexy website for Point-of-Sale devices but hey, that's what makes this profession fun!

My task for this project was to do 100% of the design & front end development.

This was actually one of my first attempts at a site using a lot of CSS3 elements. Even though this concept never went live, I still went ahead and finished the design, and even coded the front end to completion.

It also has a working backend & Javascript powered image gallery.

Sometimes a project dies, and it's completely out of your hands. This, however, does not diminish the value of the work.

Our current Program Guide on the website was not ideal in terms of touch and swiping gestures. Armed with the lessons learned from a year of iPad usage, I set out to create a more enjoyable (and easy-to-understand) experience.

The result was something that elevated the purpose and utility of our flagship shopping app.

Back in the dreary November of 2006, I was gchatting with a good friend of mine, Eric Smith. We decided that we had to start a blog that would chronicle the ridiculous geeky things we found in our fair city of Philadelphia, and thus Geekadelphia.com was born.

4.5 years and a few versions later, we've become the foremost authority on the geek culture in Philadelphia ( or at least we like to think so).

This particular design was meant to be a complete overhaul of our entire look and feel, including branding and printed materials.
